Fashion- Copper Jewelry

Hey Everyone! Of course we all know about clothing trends for spring, they are found in magazines, blog posts (check out previous posts for spring fashion ideas), and other sites; but what about jewelry trends? I decided I would write today’s post on a special kind of trend in jewelry, copper! Silver, gold, sterling, and other metals are often used in bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, but what about copper? The color is so special and can add a rustic feel to any outfit. If you don’t know what copper looks like, think of a penny. It is warm-toned (like gold), but not as bright. It is more brown/orange. You can purchase either shiny, matte, or rusted copper jewelry (each gives a different effect.) All in all this trend will make you look unique, and will add a whole new level of class to your outfit.
Here are some neat examples of copper jewelry bought at an estate sale
These copper bangles have braided details spiraling around the entire bracelet. As you can see, the bright colored copper part is smooth and shiny, while the indents have darkened.
This bracelet has a lot of dimension to it. The, “boning,” that is raised above the curved band touching your wrist catches the light at the top, and forms shadows once it meets the band of copper touching the skin.
Lastly, these unique, moon-shaped earrings bear the dramatic symbol of a happy and sad face. These are a perfect example of all of copper’s textures. They almost have a gradient effect of super slick to the edges, to slowly deepening in color, and roughening in feel towards the barrier separating the flat moon surface from the faces.

I hope you enjoyed this fashion post! xoxo-Paris
