Fashion- Back to School Essentials

Hey girls! Back to school shopping is now in full swing for many of us, so I thought a guide on what to buy may be helpful. I am covering outfit pieces that are essentials, all the way to accessory recommendations for the school year. I hope you enjoy! xoxo- The Glam Girls

Tops andTees: Getting a bunch of cute tops is an absolute must for the school year. Think about it like this, if you are going to be wearing simple skinny jeans for most of the days of the year (jeans are an essential too!), you are going to need your top to be the statement piece. So, choose a few adorable tops and you are good to go. I found a whole bunch of nice shirts from a wide variety of designers at Lester's

Bottoms: A pair or two of comfortable, flattering jeans (I find skinny jeans always perfect!) is a pretty obvious back to school staple piece. They can be worn all the time, and no matter what, you will look effortlessly chic. I find that J Brand makes very on-trend jeans, as they incorporate different colors, textures, and materials other than denim, but maintain a comfortable fit and high-quality that cannot be beat.
Sweaters: Since school starts in the fall, the weather during the beginning (and middle) of school is usually chilly. This is why I like to wear a nice and cozy cashmere sweater. A friend of mine actually got this sweater, in this exact color, and it looks fabulous on, and keeps you warm and toasty. J Crew has it available in a multitude of colors, in case your school only permits certain colored sweaters.  Sweaters also serve as a great layering piece!
Shoes: J Crew Macalister Boots can be worn casually, or a bit trendier when styled with a funky pair of socks peeking out. They are also ideal for school, as they are a comfortable, closed toe shoe. (remember: the weather is getting cooler, so to keep your toes warm, get closed toe shoes!) These also work for all the seasons, so they will last you quite a while.
Accessories:
- Emi-Jay hair ties not only are good for your hair (regular hair ties break hair more easily), and look cute in the hair, but they also look fun piled on the wrist. You can mix and match with a bunch of their different styles for a multi-functional accessory- bracelets and hair ties in one!
- Colette Malouf headbands are sleek, sophisticated, and trendy. By wearing a headband you are also working against those pesky baby hair at the front of the head, by the pulling them back, out of your face. These headbands do not hurt behind your ears, so you won't need to constantly readjust your headband until it seems comfortable. The headbands also add some style to your outfit, for a complete, polished look.
