Fashion- Jewelry Organization Tips

Hey everyone! Today's fashion post is going to focus on jewelry, but what I am emphasizing is jewelry organization. I find that I am always having tangled necklaces, sets of bracelets being mixed together, and am sometimes in fear of misplacing precious pieces. Here are some tips I have for keeping your jewelry organized and easily accessible. Hope you enjoy! Xoxo- The Glam Girls
Do you have any jewelry organization tricks? Tell us about them in the comments of this post.

Problem: Tangled chains
How To Solve:
1) I have a bunch of necklaces with thin chains on them that always seem to get tangled together. This cannot only damage the piece, but be extremely inconvenient when trying to get ready in the morning, and you are held up because of a little necklace. In order to prevent tangled chains from happening, consider purchasing a jewelry tree.
Place each necklace separately on a hook, and it makes for an easy to use, necklace (or bracelet if want) holder. What is great about this jewelry tree in particular is that it rotates, so it makes seeing your necklace choices so much easier.

2) A lot of the time jewelry comes in a small bag, but I tend to lose those, or the necklace just does not come with one. This is when I like to use a coin envelope.
Simply place a necklace within the envelope, and label it with a short description of what the piece looks like. Then carefully stow away in your jewelry box (or wherever you keep your jewelry) making sure to be careful that it does not look like trash. The reasoning behind labeling the envelope with its contents is for your convenience. When you are flipping through your envelopes of necklaces, it would be a whole lot easier to know what is inside rather than checking each one. Also, don't seal the envelope because you will be reaching in, and putting necklaces back in them constantly.

Problem: Mixed up bracelet sets
How to Solve: First take the time to sort your bracelets out into neat, stacked groups and then place them in designated spots in a jewelry organizer tray.
I have a jewelry organizer tray which is similar to this one, and I find it very helpful for keeping my bracelets together. I mainly have sets of bracelets that came as a group instead of bracelets I purchased separately. If you really are having trouble keeping them together, write on a sticky note, at the bottom of each section of the tray, which bracelet goes where.

Category: Earrings
Problem: Missing half of a pair, loosing earring backs
How to Solve: I suggest using an earring holder that has enough holes in it for all your pairs of earrings, and carefully fastening each back to the earring. Be sure you are pushing the back on enough so that it doesn't wiggle off, but not too hard that it makes removing the back so impossible that you could potentially break the earring. These earring holders are also great if you struggle with missing one of your earrings from a pair. Make it a conscious effort to put each pair of earring together on the holder, and not to randomly put them on separately.

If you don't have a large number of earrings, and find that it wouldn't be worth purchasing a whole earring organizer, here is a way to make your own, and you can size it to fit as many earrings as you want. This project is fairly simple, all you need is a piece of card stock, oak tag, or any paper that isn't flimsy; scissors, and a hole puncher that punches small sized holes. First cut down the paper to the size  and shape you want it. Then whole punch as many wholes as you need, just remember to space them out enough so that your earrings are not too squished. Once you have completed punching the holes, place the earring posts into the holes, and then turn it around and attach the back.
