Fashion- Your Denim Guide

Hey everyone! So for today’s fashion post we are going to talk all about jeans. What different cuts there are, what rinse should you get, etc. Just so you are aware, we are only talking about a few of the cuts and rinses available, as there are so many to choose from! So lets start off with different jean cuts.
1) Boot cut: these are a good in-between of bell bottom jeans and straight. They are a similar width all throughout the jean, but gradually widen towards the bottom, making it an ideal width (and length) for boots, hence the term, “boot cut.”

2) Bell Bottoms: these very dramatic jeans are pretty fitted around the thigh, but work their way into a flared bottom. These jeans that we know and love were popular in the 70’s, 80’s, maybe even 90’s and are so cool. Do you think they can make a come back?

 3) Straight: Jeans like straight cut, are a, “relaxed jean.” They are constant in their width, and while similar to boot cut, they are a bit tighter at the bottom.

4) Skinny: We are all probably familiar with skinny jeans, as they are very common now, and make every outfit look chic. I think they may be the only cut of jean I own, and they hug the leg in such a nice way.

5) Cropped: Basically are just short jeans. They vary in length, such as ending at the knee, or even the calf.

Rinses-saying, “what rinse of jean are you wearing?,” is pretty much the same as saying, “what color jeans are you wearing?” there are so many out there from different shades of blue, grey, whites, purples, pinks, reds, greens, yellows etc. You name it, it is probably made. All are beautiful, it just depends on where you want to wear it. I find that light blues, whites, or maybe even a neon/ bright color would look pretty in the spring. The springtime for me goes well with any light wash(rinse) jean, whereas winter/autumn is nice with darker wash jeans. I also love shades like mustard (a pretty one though), ferns, or deep purples in the autumn.

Here is a quiz that I found on seventeen.com that is about what rinse you should wear!
I hope you found this denim post helpful. Don’t forget to leave a comment telling us which brand of jeans, you think, sells the most comfortable jeans. xoxo- The Glam Girls
