Beauty- Rules to Applying: Blush

Hey girls! I decided to do a mini series in the blog's beauty section known as, "Rules to Applying:___." This will go over a couple of basics: Blush, Lipstick, Eyeshadow, and Eyeliner. So, for the next few weeks, expect to see these kinds of posts. If you enjoy reading these, leave a comment telling us other, "mini series," ideas that you have, that you want to be featured on the blog. (They can be either beauty or fashion related.) Without further ado, here is the perfect way to apply blush. Xoxo-Paris

Step 1: Choose a natural colored blush that gives the illusion of naturally, rosy cheeks. For my skin tone, I like to use Mac's Sheertone Blush in the shade Cute. (I believe this is discontinued though)
Step 2: Smile to find the apples of your cheeks, and tap on the color with a blush brush until you find the color you are looking for, by adding more or less blush.
Step 3: Now using your blush brush to work the color in, blend by making swirly motions up the apples of the cheeks, until you find that they are not quite so pronounced. (This is a few inches before the hairline)
Now, by following those 3 steps, you have completed applying your blush. The next few steps are if you prefer a different look.
Want your blush to last all day?
Step 1: Apply natural colored blush as directed above
Step 2: Choose a brighter color, and layer a bit of it over what you already have. (Warning: be sure to work slowly! You don't want to put a lot of the bright color on at once because you must keep in mind, you already will have natural, rosy cheeks as your base.)

Want glowing cheeks?
Option 1: With a light hand, apply a shimmery color to apples of cheeks. I suggest one with a color that suits you, so that you aren't just putting glitter on your face. If it is a shimmery, rose colored blush, you will still get the same glowing effect, but won't look so pale. If you use plain shimmery dust, it will come off as though you are wearing stage makeup.
Option 2 Step 1: Apply blush as directed above
Step 2: Locate cheekbones (this can be found without smiling, and is right above the apples of the cheeks)
Step 3: Start slowly, and apply your highlighter. I like Fresh Satin Luster Palette for both cream eyeshadows, and highlighter.
