Beauty- Rules to Applying: Eyeliner

This is the fourth and final post to our, "Rules to Applying," mini series. We have already done blush, lipstick, eyeshadow, and today's post is eyeliner. Hopefully by the end of this post (and series), you will be able to confidently apply some of the basic components to full face makeup. If you already are a makeup pro, maybe you picked up some nifty makeup application tips along the way! Hope you like, xoxo- The Glam Girls

Step 1: Choose a dark eyeshadow color, pencil liner, gel liner, or liquid liner. I like the Body Shop Eye Definer in 02 Rich Brown.
Step 2-if using shadow (optional): Damp eyeliner brush and pat it into eyeshadow of choice. This will make the pigment more intense, and the consistency creamy.
Step 3: Line as close to the lash line as possible (practically on top of lashes), by choosing one of two methods
- Glide on the color. It may be hard to get one perfect line across your eye on the first try, so I suggest breaking it up into about three sections. Make a couple of perfect, small lines across your eye until they form one straight line.
- Dotting. Make a bunch of small, even dashes (somewhat dot-like) of liner across your eye until it forms one line.
Step 4: Look straight ahead into a mirror and check for any inconsistencies or gaps. If so, go back and perfect.
Step 5 (optional): If you don't want your liner to be as harsh, blend it out or add a bit of eyeshadow on top and blend. That will give an even softer look.
